eFarm is a social enterprise startup (Headed by IIT-KGP alumni) which is focused on creating a farmer to consumer supply chain for perishable agri goods (fruits, vegetables). We are currently based in Tamilnadu and handle our sourcing from various farmers, regional mandis . Our target distribution/retail operations are in Chennai. We are actively looking for sourcing & logistics managers . The typical job profile would be :
- Interact with farmers, agri-associations, universities and identify sourcing areas
- Prepare active supply side data and pricing options
- Setup collection centres in regional towns to enable standardised procurement
- Handle daily operations from sourcing / logistics / transportation to the city based distribution centre
Typical profile of the candidates would be :
- Strong knowledge of rural areas of Tamilnadu & agriculture produce
- Highly disciplined, trust worthy with good inter personal skills to coordinate all rural side activities
- Willingness to travel (say 75% of time) and work in rural areas
- Hands-on person, with ability to lead from front.Ex-service men would be a good plus
- Basic knowledge of computers/management would be plus
- Education : UG degree would be plus. If not, past experience in relevant areas would be OK as well.
- Salary : Industry norms base salary + commission structure on volume based turnover. Being a startup, we can offer flexible/excellent package for deserving candidates.
